Adults unfortunately cannot just stay fit by being adults, kids and teens on the other hand, stay fit because of living their age. Teens will therefore, get into sports, and kids will run around, climb and play in general and in the process stay fit. Now most people start going to the gym when their bodies work against them, so apart from the hormones and the age related weight gain, child birth for women leads to weight gain, and the gents on the other side tend to develop a protruded belly as they age.

The above are some of the reasons that got me into working out, at an early age. Hello, my name is
Martin Torres; I am a group fitness instructor, passionate on ensuring that individuals of all
categories stay fit, as they go through the various stages of life. Our bodies experience changes as
we progress from childhood to being teens then adults and older adults.

Teenagers are energetic and their bodies are well managed through daily workouts and an hour a day will do them good. When in the 20’s most of us, start recognizing ourselves and are more aware of our responsibility to the society and to our families, so working out or keeping fit is never really a priority. The 20’s however, is the best time to start building on a fitness foundation and make it a habit.

No one likes to get to their 30’s, because it is one stage of life that opens the door to adulthood, people in their 30’s seem to be having a hard time maintaining a workout routine, but which they so much need because their bodies are losing muscle with age. On hitting the 40’s this is the prime time for training because our bodies slowly but surely gain weight thanks to metabolism and with the drop in the levels of hormones in our bodies the mid part of our bodies, increases exponentially.

So while you might need to start working out before you reach your 40s, the latter will require to actively engage a routine if not a fitness class, and at some point you might have to invest in the fitness equipments thus do the exercises from home. Now the good thing about working out from home is that you can still be part of a team with which you can connect with from different platforms.

Keeping fit is not just about getting on the treadmill or your spin bike early in the morning or late in the evening. There are meal plans to be engaged, for example a reduction in sugary foods, carbs and junk will go a long way in helping with weight loss. The above not withstanding getting the right fitness equipments also accounts for the relevant body goals.

There are equipments that will work on your upper torso, others on your lower torso and some will work your full body. I am the perfect example of somebody who walked into a gym and was completely intimidated. I was not a high school athlete. I danced growing up, mostly ballet. From there I found yoga, spin class, and whatever else the local gym had to offer that promised great results.
